2013/05/15 Boston, MA (REPORT 4)

Wednesday, May 15th 2013 was honestly the greatest night of my life. Paramore has been my favorite band for going onto 7 years now, and Wednesday was my first time seeing them live. It was worth the wait, and better than I ever thought it would be. I’d spent years dreaming about what they’d be like live, and it was perfect! My throat is still sore from screaming the lyrics that have become some of the most important lines in my life, from songs that have gotten me through some of my toughest times.

Kitten was very energetic and fun to watch on stage, but I can’t lie- it was hard to pay attention when I was so excited to see Paramore. Finally, while looking down at the audience (I was on one of the balconys) I see everybody lurch forward toward the stage, and then I see Taylor on stage with Hayley, playing “Moving On”. I totally wasn’t expecting myself to, but I just cried out of total joy and the tears just kept coming! I sang along at the top of my lungs and I really don’t think I blinked once, not wanting to miss a thing. Hayley’s Boston Strong shirt just made it that much better, along with her totally rad painted on mask. Taylor and Jeremy rocked so hard I couldn’t help but smile.

During “Anklebiters”, the band brought up around 10 audience members to sing along and though I was crazy jealous, it was so fun to watch! I had actually waited to see a live performance of “Now” until the show-no youtube watches, nothing! It was totally worth the wait, and I screamed the chorus with everything I had! Not to mention, the proposal during “The Only Exception” was totally sweet- all of my girl emotions just came pouring out! After about an hour and a half, they did their last song- Brick by Boring Brick. It was hard for me to believe they had already done 19 songs, it felt like it went by in 2 seconds! I never wanted them to leave the stage, but I’m so appreciative of Hayley, Jeremy and Taylor for keeping on even when it got tough. Afterwards, I waited outside by the tour bus and Hayley came out and walked right by me- my knees basically turned to rubber and I couldn’t help but yell out “You’re awesome Hayley!” I hope she heard me, I’m sure she hears it all the time but it’s just so true! I waited awhile for Taylor and Jeremy to come out but unfortunately they didn’t, I really hope I didn’t leave too early and miss them!

It was such a perfect night (I hung up some streamers they launched during “Still Into You”, which is totally my lady-jam, in my room!), and I really truely hope I get the chance to see them live again, and maybe even meet them! I didn’t think it was possible, but I adore the band so much more now- as musicians and as people! Thank you for being awesome Paramore, I really love you with all my heart and I’m totally still into you!

~Clare O’Connor, totally stoked Paramore fan who hasn’t stopped smiling and singing!
