2013/03/01 Melbourne, Australia (REPORT)

When I got to stage 2 where Paramore were playing, there was already such a huge crowd, but I managed to sneak my way to the front. Just a few minutes before they came on I looked behind me, and there were SO MANY people; I couldn’t see the ground anymore. Hayley, Jeremy and Taylor all ran on stage and we heard Brick by Boring Brick. It was amazing; they were all full of energy, jumping and dancing around and they all could not stop smiling. I think that was contagious, because before we knew it, the whole crowd was smiling. Hayley even commented on how “smiley” everyone was. They played a total of 15 songs, and each one with so much passion and energy as usual. One that stood out was Let the Flames Begin, the outro was so intense and powerful and everyone went silent and was staring in awe.

Half way through the show while Hayley was thanking us, she got lost of words and then explained she just had gotten overcome with emotion. She then joked about it and said, “at least I didn’t cry”. That just proved how genuinely grateful they were to be there. Of course all throughout the show they had their cute moments. Hayley putting her arm around Taylor, head butting Jeremy, and even just looking over at each other and smiling.

The main thing that I enjoyed most about seeing them play was how happy they all were. They all seemed so comfortable to be around each other, and so liberated. It was so nice to see. I’ve seen them play quite a few times before, but this time was my favourite, even though it wasn’t even their own show! The whole atmosphere that night was one of happiness. You didn’t even have to be a fan to feel the happiness; it was everywhere! If any of you are going to be seeing them sometime this year, you are in for a treat. I was expecting a lot from this show, but it rose above my expectations by a lot. It was truly Paramore.
