Hayley Williams did an interview for Canadian Exclaim! Magazine. She talks writing and recording new album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, unexpected rollout strategy and rejecting to be a solo artist.
“Every time I get ready to put out a solo project, I feel, you know, it sort of flies in the face of everything I’ve ever stood for,” she admits. “I’ve always been gang mentality. If I’m gonna be a mouthpiece, let me do it with these people in mind.”
She continues, “20 years in the business is not something most people survive,” explaining that lately, she’s really been contemplating how to keep growing older within it: “36 is not old, but I started so young that I feel ancient.”
