Saturday Night Online interviews Hayley Williams

At the end of May Hayley Williams did a phone interview with Saturday Night Online and talked about the upcoming Monumentour, ‘Ain’t It Fun’ national success and answers questions from Paramore fans. The interview is over 11-minutes-long and you can hear the original audio by entering this page.

The conversation opens with a question about the Monumentour and its real co-headlining meaning. “It’s sort of a technical term. We are just putting both our names on the top of the poster and sharing responsibilty,” answered Hayley. “It’s a first co-headlining tour we are doing after a while. I’m so pumped!” Following the question,Williams gets back to the beginnings of Paramore – first tours, Taylor not being allowed to tour with them, eating pizza and making no money. “If you look back, those are one of the greatest times of my entire life. Just making friends all over the country, all over the world,” said Hayley claiming that Paramore talks and thinks about getting back to their roots and playing small venues tour. “I’m sure it will happen!”

Commenting on, without a doubt, big ‘Ain’t It Fun’ success Hayley said that she does her best to control her emotions when she hears ‘Ain’t It Fun’ in public. “When I’m around people, I try to control myself, I’m like “Oh yeah, that cool,” or I laugh, but if I’m alone, I put the volume on the top and drive faster, get excited.”

In the second part of the interview Williams revealed that during the Monumentour Paramore is possibly going to perform together with Fall Out Boy! As you can imagine, Hayley didn’t say anything more but she assured that both bands are trying to make this co-headlining tour the best experience possible to their fans. Also, listening to Hayley talking about “(One of Those) Crazy Girls” we can assume that this song will finally appear in the tour set list! Listen to the rest of the interview to hear Hayley talking about Warped Tour, new music video and performing new songs for the first time.
