Mike Kluge, the director of The News music video, shared a note explaining the concept, idea and characters of Paramore’s latest video.
“The scene in the video is the mind of a person, isolated in what seems to be a familiar place. (…) A minimalist mind-scape concept with just enough context for. An idea to live in,” he wrote.
“Hayley plays both of these characters, one depicted as a hoodie wearing, white eye-balled zombie, the other a hyperbolic, red mouthed maniac, spewing political fervor in the form of the songs lyrics,” he continues.
