Paramore teams up with A24 for Talking Heads tribute album

To celebrate 40 years of Stop Making Sense by Talking Heads Paramore teamed up with A24, a company which optained rights to the concert film and remastered it for re-release in last year. The band will be featured on a special tribute album with their version of Burning Down the House. A very first teaser of this release has just been unveiled. The album will consist of 16 tracks by 16 artists in total and Paramore’s cover is the first to be released via A24 Music.

The music video for Paramore’s version of the song was directed by Zac Farro and AJ Gibboney. A24 serves as an executive producer of the project. The Jonathan Demme-directed Stop Making Sense is among the most celebrated concert films of all time, and captures Talking Heads at the peak of their live powers during December 1983 performances at Los Angeles’ Pantages Theater. It was added to the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry in 2021 in recognition of its cultural and historical significance.
